Hooray for National BEET 🔴 Day !
IMHO any day’s a great day to honor this vitamin C–, fiber–, and potassium-rich vegetable—and a personal favorite of mine for creating all-natural deep red hues in food and drink (no fake colors OR added sugars needed!):
I just love utilizing beets as an awesome and amazing all natural source for infusing bright and deep red hues (+ lower glycemic levels of sweetness) into food and drink recipes a way better way to go vs. opting for fake carcinogenic food colors . especially this time of year (ie. Freedom Season) when Red foods and drinks are so culturally relevant and celebratory (think: Juneteenth)

The FRESA FRAGRANTE (Fragrant Strawberry) red optional add-in elixir was one of five all natural “cocktail coloring bar” liquid colors (w/ subtle flavors) options I came up with for this year’s OSH fundraiser gala — but don’t let this red one’s berry-centered name fool you — a beautiful beet “shrub” i made & mixed in completed its crimson color …
