August 5th is Oyster Day Each Year!...

Which is a mystery in and of itself considering that according to folklore and an ages-old pop culture rhyme — Oysters should only be consumed during months that contain the letter “R” —- AND furthermore should NOT be consumed in the summer months. AUGUST violates both of those unofficial “rules” 😆….

For Oyster Day, shout out to Ben "Moody" Harney founder of @therealmothershuckers and his early 19th Century inspiration & entrepreneurial muse, Mr. Thomas Downing (1791-1866) …
